Beautiful hardwood cabinetry is shaped over numerous years by natural forces, resulting in a distinctive color and character. Different wood species contain unique attributes such as color, density and grain patterns. Climate, growth rate and soil conditions all affect the grain patterns of the wood, while different saw cuts can result in additional grain and color differences. Overtime as hardwood matures, they present an unsurpassed deeper, richer look. No two pieces of wood are the same, but this is the beauty and essence of natural wood.
Oak is a hard, heavy wood that contributes to a high resistance to wear. Oak selected for cabinetry generally has a consistent color and is free from most mineral streaks and knots. Grains can range from straight to irregular.
